New developments!

SO! It's Quite amazing how things can change for the better and worse at the same time. More details to come! but it's going to be good. stay tunes and hold to your seats!

Wonderful News!

So I am no longer going in January (3weeks) because of a passport issue. (The lack of one and the need to get one in time is quite impossible). But I have applied to go in August to September of 2012. So I will hopefully attending then! Hooray! I am so stoked! So Lindsey from ILP called me up yesterday and was asking questions and also answering mine. She went to Ukraine like I plan to and shared some of her experiences. She said she was able to teach all levels of elementary education and she was able to go to church and take language lessons. As well as go and see the temple which was being constructed at the time. Now I will be able to go and do work there! What a wonderful opportunity!!! I am so stinking excited!!! She also said her host family was awesome and that he became really close to them! I am so excited to live with a host family.  She also said that they understand winter there and there conditions are harsher, so she said that she bought boots, a winter coat and winter items there. I loved how they got two one week vacations. They had the opportunity to go to Poland, Budapest, Hungary along with a couple of other countries. I hope to go to Sweden or at least try to venture up there! So exciting! When I get home for Christmas I hope to proceed with getting my passport and then start fund raising and getting school supplies for these kiddos. Check back for details on my fundraising and where I will be located if you’d like to donate! Have a Joyous Holiday Season! Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

The Spark

So I just attended a meeting for the ILP program because i was hoping to go to China within a few years with one of my dear roommates, Mauriah who has gone before but won't be going again till she's graduated. She is going to go as a head teacher and I would like to do so as well but that means having to go before that time comes. Anyway so I went to this meeting and they were expounding upon the program and how it is such a wonderful opportunity and how it can change your life. They were talking about all the different places you could go and the gal explain said that for this spring they were looking for volunteers to go to Kiev, Ukraine. My soul and heart literally jumped out of my body. I am not sure why but I was interested.
With going to Ukraine you are not only able to travel and tour all these marvelous places but live as a local! I love that! I would be there in the spring from January till June. What a cool opportunity! I find others cultures to be so fascinating! Anyway, so I texted my dad and said 'I think I might wanna to go to Kiev, ukraine in january'. All he replied was 'tell yo mamma:-P'. At that point I was like, crud muffins. So I started to think things out. I don't want to defer from school, so I will take online classes. Well what about internet? My friends Chloe B.  And I were talking and her friend went to Kiev and said that internet wasn't a problem for her and that it was an amazing experience. Each text Chloe received from this friends explaining how wonderful it was the more I got excited. I always seemed to get excited after meeting like the one I attended tonight, but I have a feeling that I should go. I am going to sleep on it but we shall see how I feel that next few days and how things will work out. If I am supposed to go then I know my Father in Heaven will make it happen. I also thought about how I am going to get my passport in time. It already takes six weeks and if I had applied today it would have arrived at the earliest January 18th. Which I am not sure if that’d be enough time for me to go. The gal at the meeting that they would send me out later if my passport was a problem but that it’d be better if I flew out with everyone. I really hope that I am supposed to go. Perhaps not this semester but definitely semesters in the future!! Thanks For reading!
Stay tuned for updates!!!
